Prince James of NY

Hello, my name is J. James, but my friends affectionately call me Skely. I’ve dedicated a significant portion of my adult working life to various facets of fashion design, and in the post covid years, I transitioned into education with the NYC Board of Ed. Most of my experience has been concentrated in District 75, where I have worked primarily with special education students. Throughout my journey in the NYC DOE, I’ve encountered numerous children who possessed tremendous potential, yet, from my perspective, have been let down and written off by nearly every adult they have come across in their lives. This realization compelled me to spend considerable time contemplating how I could leverage my unique skill set to support these remarkable kids in ways that extend beyond the limitations of the Board of Education. This introspection ultimately led to the creation of Prince James of NY. Our aim is to utilize this platform as the primary vehicle to establish a trade school, where we will teach individuals from underserved communities the valuable skills needed to create high-quality products(on this level) right here in America. Additionally, we envision the development of a production facility to provide meaningful employment opportunities. This initiative marks just the first step of our journey, and I humbly ask for your support and encouragement as we navigate the challenges of growth, learning, and the inevitable mistakes we will encounter along the way.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little bit better.

Sincerely: J. James
